Keypad problem

I could not use my mobile phone since last night because one of my keypad keys (asterisk key) was broken. It suddenly stopped working even though you press it harder. Because of that, I can not enter my keypad lock code. When I asked my sister about it, she laughed at me because the solution was easy. You just have to turn it off then turn back on after a while. As soon as it was turned on, the keypad lock was gone. And it did go OK. I just need to turn off the automatic key guard on. But though my unlocked phone got OK, I still have to go to the repair shop because I can not use the special characters when I am typing an SMS.
