I feel so relieved after this afternoon’s stress at work. This morning, our delivery trucks were all broken in coincidence at the same time, where an emergency delivery were requested by one or our branches.

At first, I didn’t know what to do, I was thinking of renting a neighbor’s truck but when I called my neighbor, I was informed the truck was used for an errand. I thought I will fail this very day. But then, a life saving idea came from my secretary. She has a friend who had a delivery service business. She called her friend up and asked her if we could rent two of her moving trucks for a day. She gladly offered her trucks for a fifty percent discount on the charges. So, thank God, we were just in time in doing our duties. Whew!

Last year our company laid off some of our employees. One of them was my friend, Maggie. Since we were good friends at work, I fought for her continuous service for our company but management was firm with their decision.

Just this afternoon, I recieved a call from her asking  me to meet up tonight and catch things up. She gladly informed me that she is now one of the top excecutives of  a commercial real estate company. I’m just so happy for her. She may started back to zero but she managed to climb the corporate ladder with a bang! I’m so proud of her.
