EMPTY DAY

December 19th, 2008

That Tuesday stands out clearly in my memory. I had awaken in the middle of the afternoon with a huge head ache. Talk about getting to bed at 5:47 in the morning.  I couldn’t get my myself to sleep that night so I went online,  browsing the web. I almost visited every site but I didn’t find anything interesting -actually I didn’t know what I was looking for. As I went back to bed, I kept thinking what’s really happening in my life lately and I didn’t find the answer before I put myself to sleep.

I ate my breakfast -my first meal for the day  at four in the afternoon, then sat in front of the TV until the wee hours of the morning. And again just like that, another typical day had ended – with no goal in mind or direction in life…

Another empty day…

JACK & JILL PART 2 (pieces of a broken heart)

November 26th, 2008

Jill stood at the place where she and Jack used to go. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath as she bid her love for Jack goodbye. Yes, she finally realized she had enough pain and decided to move on.

When she opened her eyes, she saw pieces of her broken heart scattered around.

Her tears were falling as she picked them up, then put them inside her pocket.

After doing so, she wiped her tears, smiled and walk away. She didn’t bother to look back. Jill walked on.

About half an hour later while still walking, she placed her hand into her pocket to get the pieces her heart. Then, putting her hands in front of her face, Jill blew the broken pieces into the air. Like flower petals, the pieces of her heart flew for a while and then touched the ground softly.

To her mind, she was hoping that someday,,,

SOMEBODY would find all the pieces of her broken heart…
…who would have the power to heal her heart and would make the pain go away…
…and who would have the guts to bring her heart back to her, now whole, healed and ready to love again…

JACK AND JILL

Jack was the blast from the past! Jill knew he was the one. She thought they were brewing something special. It could have been called destiny! But it was definitely not!…NEVER!

It was about an unspoken love between them…

Since he was leaving, she prayed for courage to let him know that she cared for him in the way only true love would understand. It was about time Jack hears it from her. So Jill, not thinking and caring what he would say, prepared well for her revelations.

But maybe, no… not maybe… But surely it’s not really meant for Jack to know…

On the day before his departure, he visited her to say goodbye. But he was rushing. It took him three minutes -yeah! just three minutes! -to stand in front of her gate to say his goodbye. Jill prepared a letter -a letter that would reveal her love for Jack. In the middle of that three minute conversation, Jill didn’t give the letter to him. She felt that he didn’t really care for her, the way she cared for him -that giving him the letter would just get her in trouble. But still she was thankful they are good friends. She gave him a big smile and a salute while telling him to be good and reminded him to send her a postcard on Christmas day. Jack smiled while he nodded. Then he turned around. No hug nor even a handshake. She closed the gate, turned around and started going back to her house. She knew she needed to cry at that moment. But she didn’t.

Jill opened her blog page and started typing…
