Making sense… (somehow)

The contract of lease that our company has regarding our office location is expiring this year. The owner had decided to sell the property to a business tycoon who will build a mall in the area. Though the sale will take effect next year, we know we have to look for another place. It was really tiring to look for another place, where we can relocate. There are so many things to consider. As early as now, we must find another place and survey and study the area. We are also required to make a contract with some long distance movers, to avoid he higher cost of moving next year. With the things about the financial crisis where in prices are constantly going up, it takes some strategies to minimize costs. I wish we can finalize everything so that we will not be thinking about it too much. It is building stress among us.

I feel so relieved after this afternoon’s stress at work. This morning, our delivery trucks were all broken in coincidence at the same time, where an emergency delivery were requested by one or our branches.

At first, I didn’t know what to do, I was thinking of renting a neighbor’s truck but when I called my neighbor, I was informed the truck was used for an errand. I thought I will fail this very day. But then, a life saving idea came from my secretary. She has a friend who had a delivery service business. She called her friend up and asked her if we could rent two of her moving trucks for a day. She gladly offered her trucks for a fifty percent discount on the charges. So, thank God, we were just in time in doing our duties. Whew!
